Vision and Mission

IICECC VISION AND MISSIONS

IICECC envisages become a forum and a think tank institution which addresses the issues of energy for global sustainable development, as well institution capable of making an effective contribution to on going national and international efforts in the areas of climate change mitigation and adaptation through the development and utilization of clean energy.

IICECC is carrying a set of missions aiming at

  • Increasing awareness among stakeholders on the strategic need of reduce global dependence on and addiction to fossil energy for economic development, while promoting the strategic advantages of renewable energy.

  • Developing concepts and methods to tackle the world's unabated, and in many cases compelling, use of fossil energy for economic development, since resulting emissions cause global warming and climate change.

  • inrease development of the significant renewable energy resource potential, of whice only a small portion is so far tapped, by the best possible technology, economically sound analysis, and integrating sustainable resource management principles. this increased availability and effective use of renewable energy and adaptation to climate change.

  • Improving the capacity among national stakeholders to effectively develop and utilize clean energy and develop strategic programs for mitigation and adapting to climate change.

  • Encourage and conduct research and development in appropriate technology which con boost the use of clean energy for economic development.

  • Encouraging international cooperation and networking in making the necessary efforts in achieving the goals of internationally accepted principles and programs.

IICECC PHILOSOPHYCAL GUIDELINES

  • IICECC is promoting a concept of mitigating the negative impact of using fossil energy use, employing a logical framework that breaks out three distinct stages of combustion. This concept, called Reducing Carbon Emmision from Fossil Fuel Burning ( REFF-Burn), addressing the problems at each stage of the fossil fuel burning, namely, ‘pre-combustion’, ‘during combustion’ and ‘post-combustion’. For each stage, measures and technology are determined that are capable of resolving or mitigating the negative impacts of the process. This concept underscores the Clean Energy Initiatives (CEI) launched by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of R.I. in 2010.

  • Energy+ is a concept initiated by Norway in the "Energy for All Summit" in Oslo, September 2011, which addresses the issues of energy security, affordibility and their impacts on climate change.

  • These REFF-Burn /CEI and Energy+ concepts will be the institute’s philosophical guideline for its main activities.

  • IICECC core activities will be directed toward achieving national green prosperity which we label it as the concept of "Economy+"
